Job description

Partner with Japan Business market and work with FPA COE/Global Business Services to ensure all risks to achieving our Operating Income Plan are identified and remediated

Reporting
For areas of responsibility:
1. Lead the preparation of the Annual Budget, four year long range business pl an, and related monthly and quarterly forecasts for Japan Exec team and HQ management
2. Continuous review of P&L, and Balance sheet accounts to ident ify risks and opportunities: Revenue, Cost of goods sold, Marketing and Operating expenses
3. Architect and issue strategic financial and operating reporting that highlights key metrics and focuses on fiscal performance.

Financial Analysis
Architect, review, and present financial analysis and recommendations to leadership, in order to support informed business decision making. Such analysis will evaluate both pre and post implementation and include the identification of KPIs for key business initiatives.
1. Inventory portfolio optimization: US and Japan sourced new product development & Product discontinuation
2. Sales forecasting
3. Marketing programs
4. Capital expenditures
5. Headcount allocation

Innovation
1. Identify, develop and facilitate financial processes and improvements in a growing international matrix environment.
2. Leverage information technology and shared service center, to automate, streamline, and integrate financial processes.
3. Identify internal and external trends and developments which add value to improve profitability, including evaluation of KPIs and management dashboards

Requirements

1. Minimum 15 years’ experience in financial/business planning and analysis
2. Minimum 10 years at an International matrix organization
3. Minimum 4 continuous years at one organization
4. Leadership experience, including goal setting and evaluation
5. Ability to think strategically and understand broad view with excellent business acumen
6. Experience with a shared service physically located outside of Japan (based in Malaysia & China)
7. Project Management skills: Strong planning, organizational and leadership skills
8. Written and Verbal communication and interpersonal skills in a fast paced international matrix environment
9. Effective presentation skills: Creating and presenting concise messages to business partners and company employees
10. Business English
11. Ability to multi task and work under pressure within deadline
12. Team player: Strong ability to build relationships at the senior level internally and with customers in an international matrix organization.
13. Positive attitude to oneself, the team and the Company to achieve full potential
14. Retail Sales
15. Microsoft Office: Excel, including creating Macros and PIVOT Tables; Access, including creating tables; Word and PowerPoint
16. Experience with Oracle ERP, Hyperion and other finance related software

Japanese (Fluent), English (Business)
