About the role: Our client is currently looking for a result-oriented and self-driven individual to join their team. As a Finance and Administration Manager you will be responsible for oversees the day-to-day financial operations of the Japan office and reporting to the VP, Finance, managing the financial health and practices and aligning them the global policies and compliance. The position involves financial advisory, producing financial documents, and reporting and collaborating closely with other departments to achieve the company’s goals.

The team: The finance team supports planning, budgeting, and buying things across the company. They're responsible for financial reporting and communications. They also look after the company offices and global property, and assess global risk. Their Purpose - Add Life to a Lifetime of Learning

As a Finance and Administration Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Manage the month end closing and financial management reports including AR and AP timely and ensure accuracy based on the Company’s policies and timelines.
  • Prepare reports and ensure compliance with relevant local accounting, auditing, and external reporting requirements.
  • Manage and record intercompany charges and transactions in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with various departments to provide timely and professional financial advisory and support.
  • Provide analysis and strategic insight to senior management on a proactive and as-requested basis.
  • Produce legal documents in accordance with the law firm’s instruction.
  • Manage the local office’s administration with the facilities department if needed.
  • Ad hoc reporting and tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Prepare various business activity reports and tax filing reports, financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

応募資格

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business Management.
  • More than 8 years’ experience in financial analysis and reporting experience
  • Relevant accounting qualification
  • Excellent skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Japanese
  • Self-driven and work independently with limited supervision
  • Results-oriented, and have good cooperation and communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
