Job Description
The Data Production Department operates the "StriX" series of small SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellites, producing and distributing image data. This unit develops and operates the mission control system required for satellite operations.

Responsibilities
The main responsibility is the development and operation of the mission control system for our "StriX" series SAR satellites. We are looking for a senior-level full stack engineer who can lead both frontend and backend development of the web-based system (mission control system) built on GCP.

Specific Tasks

  • Development and operation of the satellite control (mission control) system
  • Coordination with internal teams (satellite development, satellite operations, ground testing)

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of practical experience in web system development or equivalent experience
  • Backend development experience (especially welcome those with extensive experience in Rust)
  • Frontend development experience (experience using React and TypeScript)
  • Experience in system construction and operation using GCP (or major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure)
  • Business-level Japanese proficiency (N1)
  • Ability to commute to our Tokyo headquarters 2-3 days a week

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing large-scale systems or mission-critical systems
  • Experience in designing and developing microservices architecture
  • Experience in building and operating CI/CD environments
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Knowledge and development experience related to TCP/IP
  • Experience in socket programming
  • Experience in database design and development
