Job description

Position Purpose
The Technical Lead will be responsible for contributing to project execution as planned and achieving all IT goals through strong leadership in system development and integration. This role requires advanced IT knowledge and skills aligned with group IT strategies, standards, and policies. The Technical Lead will identify areas for improvement in existing processes, propose more efficient and reasonable IT solutions, and execute them. Building positive relationships with stakeholders, both within the IT team and externally, is essential, along with proactive communication. 
 
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
  • Execute projects as planned, leveraging advanced IT technical knowledge and skills.
  • Propose optimal solutions that align with business needs while understanding Group IT strategy, standards, and policies.
  • Identify and articulate deep business needs, proposing the best solutions.
  • Lead system development and implementation in collaboration with Asia Regional and Head Office staff as the Japan IT Technical Leader.
Contributing Responsibilities
  • Support the department head from a technical perspective in creating the Information System Master Plan (ISMP).
  • Continuously explore the latest technology, industry standards, and trends.
  • Propose solutions that consider not only IT perspectives but also the needs of employees in a financial company.
  • Actively share your skills and knowledge with team members.
Business Knowledge
  • Familiarity with the business environment of financial or insurance companies.
  • Possession of advanced IT technical official certifications.

Requirements

Mandatory
  • Over 10 years of work experience in building environments and developing web application systems.
  • Over 5 years of experience and knowledge related to servers (Apache, IIS, etc.), operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.), middleware (WAS, Tomcat, etc.), frameworks (Spring, React, etc.), and other software.
  • Over 5 years of experience and knowledge related to databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Over 3 years of experience and knowledge related to APIs (REST, SOAP, etc.).
  • Experience in test automation and performance testing (e.g., Selenium).
  • Experience with microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) and container technology.
  • Native or fluent Japanese skills (JLPT N1) for effective communication with stakeholders in Japanese.
  • Business-level English skills for communication with overseas members in APAC and Europe.
  • Over 3 years of experience in team leadership and management, including IT vendor management.
Recommended
  • Experience and knowledge related to cloud services.
  • Experience and knowledge related to user authentication (SAML, OTP, etc.) and IT security.
  • Experience and knowledge related to development processes such as DevOps and Agile.
  • Experience in business companies, particularly in financial sectors.
  • Experience in system development for Japanese insurance companies.
