Job description
■ Job Summary
In this position, within the Windows Team of the Architect Promotion Department, you will be responsible for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the core infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with the Network, Database, Linux, and Cloud teams.
(Your primary responsibility will cover the infrastructure up to the Operating System (OS) level and some middleware. Business applications will be handled by the Application Team.)
■ Job Details
You will be primarily responsible for the infrastructure supporting the core securities trading back-office system and various internal systems utilized by the business division. This includes managing critical domain systems such as Active Directory (AD), Certificate Authority (CA), and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
The current environment involves hundreds of nodes, including Windows Server instances and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) for specific systems, running primarily in an on-premises virtual environment. Experience with public cloud services, primarily Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and partner AWS services, is also relevant.
(Note: This role does not cover customer-facing trading systems, employee email/office systems (M365), or end-user work PCs.)
Your key responsibilities will include:

Architecture Design and Implementation: Developing architecture that meets business requirements, optimal system configuration with an emphasis on non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, availability, security), and implementation.

Operation, Maintenance, and Improvement: Handling ongoing operation, maintenance, improvements, efficiency/automation initiatives, security enhancements, and troubleshooting (including root cause analysis and preventative measures).

Research and Testing: Conducting research on new features and operational testing.

Windows Expertise: As a Windows expert, you will oversee all processes from upstream design to the operationalization of systems.
Currently, key focus areas include improving system quality and migrating to a newly built on-premises virtual environment.

Project execution requires collaboration with specialized teams in various fields, including application development, IT management, data center operations, networking, databases, security, and monitoring. Therefore, strong communication skills are highly valued in addition to technical engineering expertise.
While English may be used for internal communications and reviewing manufacturer documentation, sufficient English proficiency can be achieved using machine translation.

Career Phase/Example Tenure/Key Focus and Responsibilities
Project Member First 2 years after joining: Work with team members on the design, build, operation, and maintenance of Windows servers for services and internal systems, promoting system optimization and security enhancement. Deepen fundamental understanding of the securities business alongside technical skills.
Team Leader 3-5 years after joining. Lead the team in the design, build, operation, and maintenance of Windows servers for services and internal systems.
Project Leader After 5 years, Responsible for the overall design of the system infrastructure and formulating infrastructure strategies. Lead the implementation of new projects, build a scalable and secure system infrastructure, and drive operational automation and the adoption of new technologies.
Requirements

Business-level Japanese language skills.

Windows Server experience: 3 years or more.

Experience with several of the following:

Active Directory (AD) Organization Unit (OU) and Group Policy Object (GPO) design and configuration.

Cluster environment construction and operation.
-
Troubleshooting, including network packet capture and analysis.

Configuration and operation verification based on Microsoft documentation for unfamiliar Windows functions.
-
Overall design of Windows systems considering non-functional requirements, and detailed design of individual Windows Servers.

Operation of more than 100 Windows Servers.

In-depth knowledge and experience in Windows Server operation.

Extensive experience in designing and building Windows Servers.

Experience in building and operating Windows Network Load Balancing (Windows NLB) and Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC).

Experience in building and operating a Hyper-V cluster environment.

Experience in tuning server performance and strengthening security.

Experience in Windows scripting (business operation level) such as PowerShell, or programming experience.

Experience operating systems that handle personal information.

Experience operating financial systems.

Certification: System Architect exam pass.

Certification: Network Specialist exam pass.
