Finance Manager, External Fulfillment, Fulfillment Center/External Fulfillment (#7519)

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensuring exceptional controllership, including overseeing the monthly close process, ensuring proper controls are in place to protect the Company’s assets, and auditing data to ensure its accuracy
• Owning the preparation of the annual operating plan for the EF network, and managing reviews to track and update progress against the plan
• Guiding the business team in planning and executing the launch of new EF sites, including financial plan of the sites and go/no-go judgment calls
• Championing technology and automation improvements for the finance function, including participating in the implementation of new operational tools
• Continuously seeking out opportunities for customer experience improvements and cost reduction, and partner with operations leadership to implement the opportunities.
• Managing and mentoring a team of financial analysts, leading the team and guiding team member career development

A day in the life
On any given day, you may be helping your business partners assess the financial impacts of a new site or initiative, developing financial plans which guide the future development, or exploring your own ideas in how to drive improvements at the EF sites.

About the team
A dynamic, diverse team of financial professionals, currently 20% female and 80% male, who hail from several countries including Japan, USA, Korea, Taiwan, China, Turkey, and Bangladesh. We come from many different academic and career backgrounds--engineering, business and finance, the arts, etc. Both English and Japanese are spoken regularly in our team.

• BA/BS degree
• 7+ years relevant experience in positions that require analysis and reporting financial results
• Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of business impact and results
• 7+ years of experience with advanced proficiency in Excel (index, lookups, sumifs, pivots, standard deviation, database connections)
• 7+ years of experience working with concepts of Generally Accepted Accounting Principle
• Business communications skills both in Japanese and English (written and oral)
• Track record of people management.

Preferred: 

• MBA or other advanced degree and/ or Professional certification (CPA/CMA/Qualified Accounting certificate) + relevant experience
• Ability to build trust, influence, and guide senior management as well as direct and indirect business owners
• Advanced problem solving and root cause analysis combined with proven ability to communicate those analysis
• Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions
• Manage and prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, growing and ambiguous environment
• Experience working with large-scale data and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, Python,Tableau, PowerBI) and other financial systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP)
• Previous experience in Logistics, Manufacturing or Transportation industry a plus
• Proven success in people management
