The position is to partner with Japan Operations, and will be given significant responsibility from the start to drive both business and financial decisions. Operations cover very dynamic and fast growing end-to-end supply chain processes from Inbound, Fulfillment Centers, Transportations (Transportation) to Last Mile ( Logistics) across Japan, and this Financial Manager position is expected to evaluate and quantify new business ideas, execute controllership and reporting for their businesses, and perform data-intensive analyses, collaborate with diverse teams both locally and globally all to drive meaningful changes and improvements to the way we serve our customers – continuous improvements towards the vision.

Responsibilities include:
• Partner with diverse business partners to drive strategic initiatives in our supply chain, better services to customers, and the company’s long term success
• Lead and develop analysts
• Perform analyses, develop financial frameworks, manage complex projects on the company’s important priorities
The role will be based at our Tokyo headquarters with occasional travel to locations across Japan.
• BA/BS degree
• 7+ years working experience in positions that require financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and data interpretation of results
• Advanced knowledge and/or strong willingness to learn: Excel, SQL and other analytical/visualization/data mining tools
• Business English language proficiency (written and oral communication)
Preferred:
• Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital
• Leadership experience with proven ability to take on new assignments and evolve in an rapid changing environment
• Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and senior levels of management
• Familiarity with concepts of Management Accounting (i.e. professional qualifications: CPA/CMA/Qualified Accounting certificate)
• Experience within Supply Chain industry, Manufacturing, Distribution Center or Logistics processes is a plus.
• Experience in project management
• Japanese language proficiency (or strong willingness to learn) is a plus
