What You'll Do:

  • Generate significant new business revenue selling SaaS / Financial Services products to institutional asset managers across Japan.
  • Engage with business leaders and C-level executives to pitch the value proposition across the client company's product suite.
  • Network and build relationships within the asset management industry.
  • Build, manage, qualify, and close deals within a six to 12 month sales pipeline.
  • Drive, negotiate, and close sophisticated, enterprise sales and execute competitor displacements.
  • Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and product management teams.
  • Deliver an effective pitch and technology demonstration to customers while working effectively with colleagues and team members to communicate customer needs, product requirements, and competitive gap.
  • Desire to sell bottom-up (user-by-user) and top-down (C-Level), with particular emphasis on managing C-Level conversations.

Requirements

Who You Are:

  • Native-level fluency in speaking, reading, and writing Japanese.
  • Ten plus years of experience selling/closing sell-side fundamental research, data, or analytics to Investment Banks.
  • Comprehensive business knowledge of the Buy-Side sector.
  • Ability to manage enterprise sales engagements with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience engaging with business leaders and C-level executives at large Investment Managers.
  • Solid working knowledge of financial market data and procurement process within.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales negotiations.
  • History of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Motivated to manage each stage of the pipeline including prospecting, demonstrations, managing trials, and closing business.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Japanese, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Goal-driven, with the ability to meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Cold calling and pitching experience is key.
  • Must be a self-starter with a driven and positive attitude and have the ability to work on your own as well as part of a team.
