Job description

Playing a key role in the Japan IS Team, this candidate will contribute to supporting & deploying Retail
solutions – POS in Japan, which is the regional solutions well integrated with ERP Microsoft AX Platform,
BI DataMart as well as central solutions such as CRM and Digital eCommerce.

We expect the candidate to lead, support, and maintain a system with POS and related systems, to ensure
progress of DX and omnichannel integration.

  • POS Solutions
  • Data integration for Digital & e-commerce Sites, such as the GenAI install project.
  • Data integration for Back-Office Applications BI and ERP

This role collaborates closely with key users of each brand’s Retail Sales and CRM for high-level
requirements, and will contribute to the localization of functional design, testing, and support of the Retail
applications for the Japanese market:

The ideal candidate would have Project Management skills, and functional knowledge, and be exposed to POS/CRM solution environments and projects.

  • Communication with Regional APAC, Paris HQ team
  • Project management, new feature deployment, bug fixing, etc.
  • Communication with offshore vendors
  • Collaboration with Front Office Application team for digital solutions
  • Store Support:
  1.  2nd level support of store helpdesk. Provide instructions and support to 1st level helpdesk.
  2. Procurement for IT equipment used in stores.
  3. Smooth data integration support between POS and related systems
  4. Office user support: Data extraction/analysis, troubleshooting.

This candidate shall have a strong business background & understanding and retail industry.
This candidate works with central and Regional Beauty Tech and business units to support projects in
Japan securely and cost-effectively.

Requirements

Key competencies:

  • University degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Excellent spoken & written Japanese + business-level English.
  • System Support/Development with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Know the fundamentals of databases and networks.
  • Experience of data analysis, investigation, and data extraction by SQL on the Data Base
  • Have excellent communication skills, experience working directly with end users, understanding business & translating requirements into solutions, curious, pragmatic, and proactive, and the ability to work independently.
  • Structured, and able to provide regular and consistent reporting.

Technical skills (Mandatory):

  • Understanding of technical environment (e.g. MS SQL, BI), and ability to help structure technical support.
  • Obtained Oracle Master Bronze DBA certification or the same level of knowledge.
  • Obtained Oracle Master Silver SQL certification or the same level of knowledge.
  • Have experience in developing applications in a certain computer language.
  • Have the experience to maintain DB objects.

Preferable profile:

  • Excellent communication skills in Japanese
  • Logically and positive thinker
  • Willing to manage different sub-projects at the same time.
  • Willing to work in a multi-brand and dynamic organization, interacting with various levels: Local, Regional, Central
  • Strong technical skills mixed with good business understanding in the Front-Office / Digital space and ability to support these business users.
