Job description

Position Overview:
This role is responsible for overseeing talent acquisition, talent management, and talent development. You will be involved in global talent acquisition, including recruitment marketing, process development, execution, and reporting. Talent management and development are emerging areas, and you will lead the creation of policies and strategies in these areas.

Please note: This position is only open to applicants currently residing in Japan with a valid working visa. Fluency in both native/business-level Japanese is required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Partner with Hiring Managers to understand business needs, define staffing requirements, and establish a recruiting strategy. Provide guidance on operational excellence and regulatory protocols while aligning recruitment priorities with business goals.

  • End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the complete recruiting process from sourcing to interviewing and guiding the selection process.

  • Sourcing & Networking: Utilize research tools, internet-based platforms (LinkedIn, etc.), data mining, and market mapping to identify and build a network of top talent.

  • Candidate Screening & Interviews: Review CVs, conduct direct sourcing, promote the referral program, and interview shortlisted candidates.

  • Recruiting Metrics & Reporting: Track and report recruiting activities in the ATS (LEVER), ensuring accurate data and metrics. Manage updates and changes within the ATS.

  • Diverse Pipelines & Candidate Assessment: Develop strategies for building diverse candidate pipelines, gathering market intelligence, and creating candidate assessment methodologies.

  • Compensation Structuring & Negotiations: Work closely with Hiring Managers to structure compensation packages for successful candidates and lead offer negotiations.

  • Offer Management: Conduct closing interviews, send offers, and manage the closing process with candidates.

  • Recruitment Marketing: Collaborate with the communications team to plan and execute recruitment marketing strategies, leveraging social media, company website, and other platforms.

  • Event Planning & Execution: Organize and conduct recruitment-related events, both online and offline, to attract top talent.

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate business terms, and resolve any disputes.

  • Onboarding: Input and update new hire data in the onboarding list to ensure smooth transitions for new employees.

  • Project Management: Manage and deliver various recruitment projects from start to finish.

Talent Management Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Create and implement a corporate talent management strategy, including training and development initiatives.

  • Career Development Plans: Develop and oversee career development programs, including the management of the Career Hearing cycle.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR or as a recruiting agent.

  • Fluency in both native/business-level Japanese and English.

  • Experience with non-Japanese hiring and basic knowledge of visa processes.

  • Currently residing in Japan with a valid working visa.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in technical recruiting is a plus.

  • Experience in talent management or talent development is highly desirable.
