Job Overview
As an HR Manager, you will serve as the key liaison between management and employees, handling day-to-day HR operations. Your primary responsibilities will include managing payroll, social insurance, HR administration, and providing recruitment support. You will work within a small HR team, gaining exposure to a variety of tasks and responsibilities, which will help expand your HR expertise. In this role, you'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with global HR counterparts. Additionally, you will enjoy a hybrid work environment, offering flexible hours and the option to work from home.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monthly payroll process and manage relationships with social insurance vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for employee compensation and benefits inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data (Workday), ensuring timely updates and corrections.
  • Manage the merit increase and incentive planning cycle, ensuring efficient execution.
  • Support all HR administration activities throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Provide guidance and support for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ensure a smooth recruitment process by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external recruitment agencies.
  • Contribute to HR projects as needed, offering insights and support to meet organizational goals.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience, particularly in compensation & benefits (C&B) and temporary workforce administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese labor laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Japanese.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong focus on delivering practical solutions.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, both locally and globally.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday is a plus.
