Position Overview:

As the company grows and diversifies, there is an ongoing need to invest in HR system development to support business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of end-to-end business and process cycles, and be able to operate effectively across various levels of detail. The role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior management, helping facilitate problem-solving and decision-making. This position will also involve extensive data analytics activities, including developing and maintaining HR dashboards and reports, conducting data audits, providing actionable insights, and ensuring data integrity and compliance. The HRIS Data Analytics and Reporting Manager will be responsible for defining analytics strategies, setting milestones, managing timelines, and coordinating resources to meet all data-related deliverables on time.

Position Details:

The HRIS Data Analytics and Reporting Manager will be responsible for leading the HRIS data analytics function, ensuring optimized operations for HRIS projects, particularly within the Japan region. The ideal candidate will have expertise in HR Information Systems, particularly Workday, and a strategic approach to governance and design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HRIS data analytics function, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and analysis of HR data.
  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards and metrics to support HR and business leaders in data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to identify data needs and implement solutions within the HRIS.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR data to ensure integrity and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide training and support to HR staff on data analytics tools and best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in HRIS and data analytics to continuously improve systems and processes.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HRIS data analytics or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and data analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes and solutions clearly.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Ability to lead project teams, mentor less experienced teammates, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Experience working in a global environment, ensuring adherence to global standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Certification in HRIS or data analytics (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent).
  • Workday certifications in the data and reporting space.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices in HRIS data analytics.
  • Language proficiency: Fluent in English, with Japanese business-level proficiency preferred.
